Main lecture topics:

• 1. Clearcorrect v. ITC
• 2. The historical trend of US patent policy
• 3. CAFC held Apple’s trade dress is not protectable and vacated the jury’s verdict of $382 million out of about $1 billion. Samsung’s huge win.
• 4. CAFC vacated district judge’s denial of injunction to exclude Apple’s patented features from Samsung’s smart phone. Apple’s huge win.
• 5. CAFC - ITC does not have jurisdiction on patent infringement case on digital data since it is not covered by "articles" of section 337.
